How many years post-MBA did you start raising your search fund?

Curious to see how many people start the search directly post-grad and how many were employed for a few years then began the search fund process.

I'm sure it's very dependent on your Pre-MBA background, but Is there value to being employed a few years post-MBA before a search fund? Or is it easier to network/raise while still in MBA school?

Stanford research offers a perspective on this. In short, traditionally, newly minted MBA grads were the prime demo, but the average searcher age has increased recently to more mid-career folks getting in on the action.
