How I've been funding my self-funded search
Hey Team, I hesitated to post this. Talking about side income felt a little off-brand for me. Then I realized the people it could actually help are exactly this crowd, and from my conversations with dozens of searchers, most people don't even know these opportunities exist.
To help cover living and diligence expenses while I've been on my self-funded search journey, I've been doing part-time work with AI labs.
There's a project with Ethos, an expert network working with a leading AI lab that is onboarding finance people to evaluate the lab's AI-generated private equity materials. The work is basically reviewing outputs like IC memos and slide decks and grading the writing.
$100 per hour up to $2K a week. Remote and no minimum hours. I usually do these types of projects in the evenings or in between meetings when I'm not that fresh anyway. For this project, I signed Monday, passed their screener Tuesday, and have $500 logged from my first few days.
They are onboarding a large cohort right now. I'm not sure how long this project is going to last, but probably expected to be a few weeks.
I believe Searchfunder blocks links, so message me and I'll send the signup link over. Full transparency, there's a referral fee attached that would also help fund my search, so feel free to look them up and apply direct if you'd rather. Happy to answer questions in the comments either way.
P.S. I apologize for missing so many DMs when I was on the traditional investor side, I had my notifications turned off :)
