As a colleague and I were just discussing, COVID-19 has turned searching upside down - no question about that. It has turned the entire world upside down. For some, this is a bad time to be looking. Probably a better time to be actively looking and reaching out in the second half of 2020.
Companies that survive this will show 2 things:
These companies are very durable.
Owners will be worn out and more businesses will be for sale.
Best plan of action:
Prepare yourself to be ready in 2-6 months. Continue to network, deep dive into deal structure and learning and put more content out of what your are looking for and how you are uniquely positioned for the targets that you are pursuing.
Also, a bit more creative approach would be to focus on picking up more Consulting-like gigs in your target industry. Could be a way to gain more exposure and build relationships at a time when that could be a little tricky.

We think in Europa most of the search processes will be delayed. This is due to uncertainty in current trading and potential problems with bank financing. How about the US ???
