Hello everyone!
As a newcomer to the world of ETA) I'm excited to leverage my experience with AI to enhance my search process. I'm particularly interested in optimizing the initial stages of my ETA journey using AI tools. I'd love to hear from experienced members of this community:

  1. What AI tools have you found most valuable in your ETA process?
  2. How are you specifically applying these tools, especially during the early search and evaluation phases?
  3. Are there any innovative AI applications you've discovered that have given you a competitive edge?

Your insights and experiences would be incredibly helpful as I navigate this new terrain. Thank you in advance for sharing your knowledge!

AI tools can be helpful in streamlining the acquisition search process, but it's important to keep in mind that they’re just that—tools to support you. You’ll still need to validate the research they provide.

Here’s how tools like Perplexity and ChatGPT can come in handy:

Perplexity AI- Quickly gather insights on industry trends and growth forecasts to stay on top of the market. Dive into research on specific target companies, including their size, positioning, and any recent news or developments.

ChatGPT : Analyze industry data and financial statements to pull out key insights that can help you make informed decisions. Create personalized outreach messages or negotiation templates to effectively communicate with potential sellers.

These tools can make your search process more efficient, improve communication, and give you a deeper understanding of potential acquisitions. However, it’s crucial to cross-check and validate the insights they generate. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to discuss this further—I’d be happy to share more!

I have clients that set an AI process in LinkedIn to reach out to followers of thought leaders in their respective search areas to attempt to connect, then run a script for the initial message to gauge receptiveness for a conversation about a potential transaction. Only after the lead has connected and replied does the client then engage in person to set up a meeting- decent semi-cold call outreach strategy using AI.
