I am a full-time self-funded searcher who is open to businesses in any state. Due to me running my search remotely from my apartment and the fact that my lease is ending, I now have the flexibility to live anywhere in the USA.

Statistically, I know that searchers usually close on businesses near their current living location but in the case that you want to expand your search parameters (i.e. another state or part of the country) and maybe move out of a major city to save on rent, how do you decide on where to live?

I'd also love to get feedback from self-funded searchers. Since you are probably looking to stretch limited funds to give yourself maximum searching time, how do you think about your living costs? I am reluctant to sign a longer-term lease as that searchers can abruptly find and close a deal and be forced to move their stuff (i.e. furniture) back and forth. My current city is definitely too expensive but staying in the state might make sense. I thinking of just putting my stuff into storage and then getting Airbnbs across cheaper cities.
