Now that we've implemented a new search engine and the deal exchange, we thought it would be a good time to ask for your feedback on your experience within the Searchfunder community. What works well? What could be better, different or new? Many of the features we have today were created in response to the feedback of our community members. The biggest upside to the site for me is the people you have attracted. It's a niche network and creates a dialogue opportunity available outside of LinkedIn or site that might have some other social networking "rules."
The biggest con for me so far is the user interface. (Maybe this will show itself to be one of the strengths over time?) Funnels to help people find each other and also progress on deals in a clear cut path? For example, "ABC Individual is interested in your deal." What is the next step?
Does this mean they want to watch your progress? Does it mean they have the same deal and are using you for comparison? Does it mean they want to invest and all they need is wiring info?
I know that networking is the number one key and maybe the site will never be designed to help two parties get that far down the path but it could be an interesting idea to pursue.
All in all, keep up the good work!
