Firm Overview: Food Capital Partners is a Holding Company/committed capital vehicle that buys great companies and helps build them for the long-term. We are specifically focused on acquiring, improving and growing food manufacturing businesses utilizing the tools and principles of the Danaher Business System.
Our team is comprised of experienced operating executives that have also worked as management consultants, private equity investors, and investment bankers. This team composition provides a unique perspective focused not only on identifying and acquiring great companies, but also on operating and growing them.
- Position Overview: Interns will work closely with our team, gaining direct mentorship and contributing in a meaningful way to the selection and acquisition of one or more companies in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. For students interested in Investment Banking or Private Equity, this position is highly relevant because the day-to-day responsibilities will include reviewing and tracking acquisition opportunities; participating as a key stakeholder in the financial due diligence process; and shaping the post-acquisition strategic plan – you will have insight from sourcing through the execution. Additionally, given our operational experience, you will have the opportunity to work closely with seasoned operating executives.
- Key Responsibilities:
• Deal Sourcing: Build and maintain a deal pipeline through list building, cold calling, and email outreach.
• Market Research: Identify acquisition targets and industry trends.
• Investment Analysis: Evaluate business financials, key leaders and fit with thesis to ensure alignment with fund targets.
• Support the ETA Process: Gain exposure to deal evaluation, LOI creation, due diligence, and transaction structuring.
Who You Are
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented undergraduate student with strong analytical and communication skills. Ideal candidates are self-starters interested in private equity, investment banking, or entrepreneurship through acquisition (ETA) and capable of working independently in a remote setting.
