I have a business owner interested in selling....now what?

I recently went on a tour in IL calling on small CPG broker agencies. Across the board experiences from the activity, one of which I almost got physically thrown out as they were pretty confrontational. Anyway, the last one I checked out the owner was actually pretty intrigued and took my card. They later looked me up on Linkedin. I want to give it a few days before I reach out via email.

With all that said, does anyone have a follow up note they could share that worked in the past? In addition, do you recommend I have the owner engage a broker?
