I received a call from a recruiter / sales person at Salt Creek Capital (https://saltcreekcap.com/). Has anyone gone through the process of becoming an Executive Partner with them? It looks like they charge executives a "Commitment Fee". Then in exchange, they provide access to their deal originiation platform, their team to raise debt capital, structure the deal, etc. I'm skeptical by nature, so I'd be curious to hear from anyone who's been an Executive Partner with them. If they truly have a high volume of proprietary deals, it could be interesting. But for some reason it's not passing the "sniff test".

Here's a recent podcast episode from Minds Capital (Will Smith, Acquiring Minds) with an executive at Salt Creek Capital. You may want to listen to that: https://www.mindscapital.co/podcasts/expand-multiple-by-zone-skipping-ebitda

I'd be curious about the fees too and what the economics look like for the executive post close. A lot of steps they're saying they help complete (and opportunity for misaligment). It seems like they're trying to convince you to pay them to let you operate a deal for them... my 2 cents
