It allows you to see how long a business has been listed for sale. That's important because as a prospective buyer, knowing that the seller has an aged listing can potentially save you thousands of dollars at the negotiation table. Sellers with new listings are less likely to negotiate, but sellers with aged listings generally are more motivated.
