Has anyone tried the funding sources on DealStream.com?

Are they legit or scams?

Some firms offer to help you raise capital but want a retainer. If they are not legit, one would be out the retainer with nothing to show for it. Has anyone retained them and was able to raise the equity they were seeking?

DealStream is a good for opportunities. For financing, I have not used it. But, there is a class of financiers who charge retainers. Retainer is common in PE fund raising. Some of them dabble into our space. But in general, it is difficult to know who is legit, or more likely, to match their expectations.
