I'm looking to buy a metal fabrication company in California and would like to bring on an investor to be eligible for the entrepreneur parole. Curious to hear from investors that have done this before - what made you take on the risk of investing in a foreign national, what were the challenges you faced and do you have any advice for someone seeking investment as a foreigner?

Thanks for the tag Luke. Basis of my discussion with the lawyers: USCIS mandates that you have raised a certain amount of equity from the US based qualified investors, that the venture must be profitable new venture (must have been incorporated in the last 5 years), and the applicant must own a minimum 10% shares when applying. OP - I'm curious, why aren't you exploring E2 or EB-5?
