Meaning a process which was "wrong", but an acquisition went through anyway and lessons were learned?
Or where negotiations broke down completely and then something changed such that it ultimately went through after all?

Yes, sorry for the lack of clarity. Looking to understand if anyone has experienced being involved in a brokered deal, where the company was originally in the process of being sold but ultimately did not. Allowing for a searcher/acquirer to come in after the fact to purchase the company
