Has anyone ever done a seller background check outside of the US?

We;re looking to buy a US based company, but the seller is based in South America. We're struggling to find international background check providers that don't cost a fortune - any leads/ ideas? thank you!

Good morning all - as a career investigative diligence provider, I have developed a network of investigators worldwide to assist in these investigations. It is correct that it is not inexpensive, and the results widely vary. Additionally, due to privacy regulatory oversight many countries require consent, copies of licenses, address history, even fathers' surnames. Ashley - you might take a look at Financial Risk Mitigation, Inc (FRM). I believe they do background checks in various Latin American countries. You're probably looking at ~$3,000.
