Has any searcher hired a BD professional to help with proprietary deal outreach?

I am looking to expand my outreach effort bringing a non finance - experienced BD individual to help 15 hours a week to help with proprietary deal outreach. Anyone here have experience doing this? They would call on business lists on my behalf to get me further down the funnel. Curious if any other searcher has help and how they manage this, how prospect business owners receive this?
