Has any one looked at acquiring the "pillars of this business"?

I am wondering if any one has created a thesis on acquiring the pillars of the Searchfund industry - what I consider to be legal, accounting, and lending. There are definitely regulatory and legal complications in each of these acquisitions. I have noticed a good amount of accounting roll-up posts. As a licensed attorney, I do wonder if there is value in acquiring a law firm. Finally, has any one ever looked at acquiring a small, small bank? It is definitely capital intensive, and certainly likely outside the Searchfund focus, but curious if any one has ever looked into it.

A friend of mine looked at some small struggling California banks about 10 years ago, but didn't close

I believe Conner Price bought Texas Financial Bank a while back.
