Being able to work quickly and be deliberate with what data you're asking a target is important. We had a target get cold feet and want to drop out of the deal last minute because things were taking too long. Maintaining constant communication with the target about how the timing is going and being tactful about what you really need to learn in order to get comfortable with an acquisition goes a long way.
