Guide to configure Hubspot for Searching

I have seen lots of posts that suggest Hubspot to track deals and possibly for fundraising as well. But also understand that Hubspot needs to be customized to work well. Any suggestions or guides?

I have extensive Hubspot experience from my previous business. It's an awesome tool, but I've opted not to use it for my search. I prefer a leaner setup, so I use Airtable (free version). I used there personal CRM template and modified it no my needs. It's basically a much cleaner more feature rich version of google sheets, but way easier to use than hubspot.
