I'm in conversations on an off market deal that requires a GC license in FL. The owner is willing to lease his license at a rate of $1,500 / week ($78k annually). What's the going rate for an arrangement like this?

Additionally, what are alternative options I would want to consider? My understanding so far is below:
- Owner retains equity and allows business to use license
- Lease license from another GC

There are also sometimes requirements as to whether the individual holding the license must be a full-time employee, part of responsible management, etc. $78k seems inexpensive as a temporary solution while you look for a current or new employee that can meet the experience and testing requirements as a long-term license holder for the business.

its going to vary based on the work done and liability associated with the work. A kitchen and bath remodeler has different liability than new construction builder which has 10 years of liability. Google GC qualifier Florida and you should have some resources of companies than connect GC qualifiers and Seekers. When I was looking last year it was about $3k / month on average (Residential Renovations only - little to no remodels - no third party clients (i would be my only client) and no new construction/ no commercial / no public works). good luck!
