Getting started

Hi all - I am getting started in the search process. I am a self-funded searcher. I looking for companies with EBITDA / SDE of $700K - $1.5M. What are people using for sourcing?

I second brokered outreach in your preferred geography. Make it easy for the broker to want to send you the next **hot** listing first. A good business will get locked up fast. Broker should feel confident that you can close on the deal. So work backwards from there. Do you need to send the broker your financials? A preapproval? A resume? Why should the broker choose you?

Suggestions on how best to get brokers attention? I have started building relationships with a few locally but their volume is so low they don’t often have much that meet criteria. How do I get the “in” to get deals first?
