Getting employees to think (and act) like owners?
Hey Folks,
Wanted to share about a recent experience I had from traveling to Springfield, MO and getting a chance to tour SRC Logistics a few weeks back.
My head is still buzzing from getting a tour of their facilities by one of the forklift operators who was SHARP in knowing his numbers. He was able to rattle off his team's KPIs and could clearly explain how his team's day-to-day performance committed to the company's performance. The kicker is that he wasn't the only one, to a person, the men and women working at this company could do the same. Imagine buying/selling a company where the team already thought like this?!?
What have y'all seen work in terms of building an ownership mindset inside a small business? Profit-sharing? Annual bonuses? How does that differ from blue collar to white collar jobs?
