Job Overview
Easton Select Group is seeking a General Manager to serve as the day-to-day operator of a Swimming Pool business focused on Service and Maintenance. The business has served customers for over 60 years and developed a fiercely loyal customer base that is accustomed to receiving outstanding customer and field service. The General Manager will have full P&L ownership and will oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, including driving growth, improving performance metrics, creating culture, and developing all staff and management. The General Manager will have the backing and resources of Easton Select Group to assist with common business functions.
Responsibilities
• Learn and deliver key aspects of “gold standard” Pool Service, with a focus on ensuring continued outstanding customer service and high-quality service delivery
• Hire, lead, and mentor all team members; be visible and connected with employees daily
• Foster a culture of purpose, quality, and integrity while promoting accountability and camaraderie among the team
• Implement process improvements to drive operational efficiencies and profitability
• Attack daily priorities, fight fires as they arise, and serve as a point of escalation for customer concerns
• Track and analyze KPIs and promote continual improvement and profitability
• Oversee office functions, including sales, daily scheduling, and dispatch, to motivate others and ensure razor focus on efficiencies of service delivery

Leadership
o You have worked in blue-collar settings and have demonstrated an ability to gain trust, lead, manage, and motivate blue-collar workers. You are familiar with the challenges of managing a seasonal blue-collar workforce in an industry with potential for high turnover.
o You are a high-character leader, the highest integrity people person, and have an ability to inspire and build teams and camaraderie; you have the ability to keep employees accountable while motivating them to want to work hard for you.
o You are gritty, competitive, and tend to rise to the occasion when things get difficult.
Operations
o You have worked in and thrived in fast-paced environments. You are tenacious in attacking your to-do list and pushing the pace for others, as the business only has ~100 days per year to make a profit.
o You enjoy solving problems and are comfortable in occasional chaos, and can make decisions and take action quickly
o You are not someone who procrastinates, gets overwhelmed by competing priorities, or lets items on your plate stack up.
Business Acumen
o You can demonstrate proficient business acumen and are familiar with general business concepts and the drivers of profitability.
o You may have had P&L responsibilities in past roles and are familiar with (and able to drive insight from) the categories on a P&L.
Work Ethic & Lifestyle
o You are comfortable with the seasonality of the business, requiring long hours and potentially regular Saturdays from late April – October.
o You are an early riser, a highly consistent presence (the team can count on seeing you every day, no excuses), and can use your work ethic as a model for the rest of the team to emulate.
