Which funding structure did you choose for your search/roll-up?

Looking to hear from operators who've been through it - which financing structure did you choose for your search/roll-up (traditional investors, self-funded, PE backing, etc.) and what's one thing you wish you knew before choosing that path? Target: $5-50M deals in financial services

This is a really good question and I am also eager to hear about how many have switched from traditional to self-funded and vice-versa. I've heard a lot about searchers starting out as traditional and switching to self-funded but am curious to speak with anyone who has done the opposite...started out as self-funded and switched to traditional. Does that happen? Let's talk! I'm doing research on this topic right now. Thanks!
