Funded Search -- Recent Cohort Data? "Good" deals that didn't close?

Hi! As a prospective searcher who needs to do a traditional, funded search am wondering if there is recent cohort data for the number of searches started and number that ended in a purchase after two years? The Stanford Study has aggregate data for all time...but is there data on funded searches raised in 2016, 2017, 2018 and how many of these ended with an acquisition within two years?

Also, is there any data on the number of deals that meet classic search fund deal criteria but don't close? How should I think about taking the risk to do a funded search, finding a decent deal, and then maybe NOT getting investors behind it...? Thanks!
