About the Company
The company is a NYC-based venture capital platform that builds and invests in early-stage companies. It partners with entrepreneurs from the earliest stages to build breakout businesses at its Studio and invest in Pre-Seed to Series A opportunities from its Fund.
The team comes from a diverse set of companies like Flatiron Health, Snap, Lyft, LinkedIn, Google, Goldman Sachs, and Daily Harvest, but they share a common background as builders and operators, with a drive to help entrepreneurs move fast and build generational companies. The Venture Studio's in-house platform team spans product research, product design, software development, business development, acquisition marketing, brand marketing, legal, back office, and more.
The venture studio invests in and incubates software and tech-enabled services for today’s supply chain and industrial challenges.
Position Summary
As the next Supply Chain Director, you'll spearhead the incubation process, nurturing innovative ideas into thriving businesses that revolutionize the supply chain and industrials landscape. You’ll start by researching new opportunities and ideating solutions, and validating concepts. Upon validation of an idea, you’ll be responsible for hiring an entrepreneur and supporting them in building a minimum viable product and scaling the business. This role is for builders and operators who love to go from 0 to 1 and are passionate about the supply chain and industrials ecosystem.
This role is based in NYC, but remote candidates within the US will be considered.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leveraging the resources of the studio and our proprietary playbook, you’ll be responsible for ideating, validating, and ultimately bringing concepts to life alongside our entrepreneurs in residence (“EIRs”), i.e. incubating new businesses. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ideation: conducting primary and secondary research on the verticals of interest to identify pain points and opportunities for innovation
Networking: sourcing best-in-class Founders, EIRs and operators in residence (“OIRs”)
Product Management: testing desirability, feasibility, and viability of hypothesized solutions
Investment: building the investment case for your hypothesized solution
Business Strategy: developing and executing on a business model, go-to-market strategy, and product roadmap for the hypothesized solution
Project Management: designing and executing pilots to test the MVP
Additionally, you’ll help formulate and standardize the repeatable studio processes that drive successful incubations. This includes building networks with and sourcing potential EIRs, OIRs and corporate design partners and building out new processes to operationalize our work.
Candidate Profile
Successful candidates will bring product experience from more than one start-up and at least one company before Series A. Supply chain or logistics experience is highly preferred. And you’ll love building community.

An executor at heart who is highly motivated to wear many hats and build a business from the ground up
