About the Company: We are a growing book binding and packaging business headquartered in Nashville, TN, with manufacturing plants across the country. We are looking for a sharp, hands-on operational leader to help us scale, streamline, and build systems that stick. The Role: We are seeking a Fractional COO / Chief of Staff to embed with our leadership team and get things done. This is not a strategy-deck role — we want someone who rolls up their sleeves, digs into the details, and drives execution. You will own cross-functional initiatives, optimize operations across our multi-site manufacturing footprint, and leverage AI tools to drive efficiency gains across the business. This engagement starts as a 6-month fractional role with the strong potential to become a permanent position for the right person. What You'll Do: - Partner directly with ownership/leadership to identify operational bottlenecks and build scalable solutions - Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects across manufacturing, logistics, sales support, and admin - Leverage AI tools and automation to improve workflows, reporting, and decision-making - Serve as an operator-in-residence across our manufacturing plants (travel required) - Build and manage dashboards, SOPs, and operational cadences - Act as a force multiplier for the leadership team — tackling whatever the business needs most What We're Looking For: - Proven experience in operations, COO, or Chief of Staff roles — ideally in manufacturing, distribution, or a similarly complex environment - Genuinely proficient with AI tools (not just aware of them — you actually use them) - Comfortable getting into the weeds: data, processes, people, and execution - Strong communicator who can work across all levels of an organization - Based anywhere in the US — Nashville HQ preferred but not required - Must be comfortable with regular travel to our manufacturing plants across the country Compensation & Structure: - Market-rate compensation with full benefits ($150 - 250k depending on background) - 6-month fractional engagement to start - Mutual option to convert to a permanent full-time role at the end of the engagement If you are an operational leader who thrives in hands-on environments, loves using AI to work smarter, and is ready to make a real impact in a growing manufacturing business, we want to hear from you.
