Forensic accounting

Little bit of a side topic here.

My IT services company picked up a new client which does forensic accounting, and after hearing some of their stories I got to wondering if folks here had ever discovered anything "unusual" after an acquisition? (Story time! :)

I've seen a lot over the years - rare/classic cars, boats, airplanes, motorcycles, swamp buggies, high-end long-range rifles, college education for kids, housekeepers, mistress expense, ... Keeps it exciting on what we will see next!

Owners being "flexible" in the expense department is pretty normal I think - how about actual fraud taking place within the organization unbeknownst to the seller...?
