Hi everyone,

I'd be curious to know if foreign investors (ex: Canada) are allowed to back SBA 7(a) financed deals assuming they hold less than 20% of the equity injection?

Thanks.

I would think you have to get the bank holding the loan to be comfortable with that idea first. If bank on board they may be able to get the SBA to make any exceptions needed. That or tell the investor to establish a LLC in US that holds their shares.
