I am looking at a flooring business (installation). Thoughts on the industry? Things to look out for? If anyone has direct input on the industry and willing to chat would highly appreciate it! I will reach out directly to you if so.

Hello purchased a retail flooring business in 2001, just closed up shop in Jan###-###-#### Very competitive industry. Margins can be good on the retail side, Commercial side, personally not great. Commercial is a different game. You need to know how to collect from GC's, they don't always like paying. Commercial jobs are much bigger, your installers (Have to be built for speed and quantity) really need to be very experienced. Good luck

We recently sold a flooring retailer in NY and have another one listed in Westchester county.
