Hi all - I just joined the platform and figured the best way to get started was to introduce myself. I'm Adam Hodgson. I'm based in Miami, FL. I started my career in investment banking before spending the last 5 years in private equity at Ara Partners and I Squared Capital. During my PE career, I had the opportunity to step into a direct operating role at one of my portfolio companies after business performance necessitated a management change. While on-site at the company, I helped lead a commercial and operational turnaround alongside a debt restructuring process (fun times!). That experience was eye opening and planted the seed for wanting to build my own business. As such, I've recently decided to make the leap to a self-funded search process and am actively looking to acquire a service business (location agnostic, purchase price <$3.25M). Currently, I plan to utilize SBA financing and am pre-qualified. My goal isn't simply to buy a business and be an absentee owner. I'm looking to become a hands-on owner-operator, build the right team, and scale a company.
