Financial Analyst and Deal Sourcing Intern for Micro-PE Firm *prompt start* (Chicago)

I started Extension Drive to acquire one small business with $500k to $2mm EBITDA and am hiring several interns to assist in all aspects of the deal. You’ll start almost immediately (May / June 2024). You'll dive into tasks typical of an analyst's role, such as researching industries, searching for available deals, and organizing contact information. I am looking for candidates with strong attention to detail, grit, and basic financial knowledge. Academic training is less important: all you need is Accounting 100 and an understanding of a financial model. This is a real world deal, where common sense and hustle matter more than theoretical knowledge. As an intern, you'll get to experience the deal sourcing process in a live environment, including sourcing, analysis, modeling, and structuring of transactions. You’ll also gain valuable insights from my 12 years of experience as an equity investor before starting my own business and now actively searching to acquire a business.
