Exploring a self funded search

My name is Brett Tolman, I come from a background of finance and trading. I've thought about forming a search fund for several years now, but I'm coming to the realization a self-funded search may be a better fit for me. Would self funded searchers here be willing to hop on a call and talk about the pros and cons?

Even if you're self-funding your sesrch stage, you should already have the possible investors in the loop. Brokers or possible sellers would need to see the real buying capacity before they give out their information. At least that is what's happening to us in Mexico as we are self-funding a pre search stage that we delayed because of Covid19.
