Experience with Assembly Shop?

hi everyone,

Looking for someone with experience in Assembly Shops, would love to read any previous experiences/advice

- They make/assemble expensive machines/equipment ($10-400k) that are being used by large manufacturers, as part of their production process
- each machine lasts 15+ years, so the customers won't come back every year
- The equipment is pretty sophisticated, but not impossible to learn, if you know how to read a blueprint
- some customization might be needed, which requires changes to the blueprint
- orders have long lead times
- there are other much larger competitors
