experience in regionally-focused, generalist search?

Advice needed…we're conducting an industry-agnostic partnered search and would greatly appreciate speaking with anyone with experience for regionally-specific, generalist searches. I’d love to hear how you’ve found success & best practices for messaging/speaking to network connections. We've heard the "pick 2-3 industries and tell them you're open to others" advice but we're looking for additional ideas. Do you know anyone who might be willing to discuss? Many thanks!
