Experience acquiring a healthcare practice through an MSO or without, in no-CPOM states?
Hello everyone, I'm under LOI on a healthcare practice in Virginia (no-CPOM state), but out of an abundance of caution exploring the possibility of structuring the transaction as an MSO. I'm not a licensed professional, but the seller is a doctor and will stay on to manage clinical operations in either scenario. Would like to connect with folks who have transacted in this space, particularly in no-CPOM states to discuss lessons learned/recommendations for the approach. I'm working with an attorney but also interested in discussing the practical aspects/risks of either of the two approaches with operators, which would be incredibly helpful.
