Excel model for equity vesting using IRR + MOIC

Hi all, I'm starting a search and in discussions with potential capital partners. I'm considering both self-funded and traditional search. One area I'm trying to get sharper on is defining return structure/equity vesting for different partner and deal constructs that align incentives and appropriately compensate for investor risk & searcher performance. Would love to model out a few scenarios (e.g. based on different deal sizes, IRR, MOIC, whether self-funded vs traditional search, etc). Saw this post, which was a good starting point (redacted. A few people have already mentioned it, but I second ETA IQ for this. It will calculate overall IRR and MOIC, break it down by specific investor groups, and breaks out all the distribution and waterfall details.

Have you tried using Claude Code/the claude Add-in for excel? I have heard it does wonders in excel, but this is based on LInkeidn Posts from some PERE folks.
