Established Residential Door Manufacturer

I’m from HMI, we manufacture replacement residential doors in the Mid-Atlantic. We’re one of only two companies that manufacture our door blanks from scratch. This enables us to offer custom sized, fully finished, replacement doors at manufacturer-direct prices. That’s been a big selling point for our dealers, who typically save 10-20% compared to our competitions’ distributor-based model, or other door suppliers that buy their door blanks from prefabricators. We’ve been in business for 40 years, and we’ve built a strong, loyal customer base over that time. But we’re at an interesting point right now, because our owner, who recently turned 70, accepted a generous offer from our neighbor, Coca-Cola to sell the factory property, so this has suspended his plans to continue the business. There is a lot of untapped potential for the right leadership and investment, so I’m reaching out because we’d like to explore opportunities to continue the business.
