I am working on a deal where the other party is fairly insistent on putting some fully refundable money in escrow during due diligence. I've normally been able to have this requirement waived, but in this case, the amount is reasonable enough that I don't want it to become a sticking point. I've reached out to a few lawyers who handle escrow, but the fees are quite high relative to the escrow amount, mainly because of the minimum charges. Does anyone have an escrow service they've used and would recommend? I've seen some online services like escrow.com, which was mentioned on previous posts, but I was hoping to get to feedback on others' experience with them or others.
