EPA concerns

Has anyone dealt with the EPA during an acquisition process ? I’m interested in learning how Lender‘s viewed the process if it was cleaned up or remediated as well as how that affected the purchase of the business or any long-term concerns. Thanks in advance

Many lenders wont lend unless the issue is cleaned up and the root cause has been rectified. I would discount from the offered purchase price enough money to make a second clean up. I have never seen just one remediation in a business. Its usually a series of problems, some of whom are known and some of whom are unknown (at least until the most disruptive time to rear its ugly head).
