Engineering/Manufacturing Due Diligence Providers

My firm is currently post-LOI on a niche light manufacturing company that assembles and distributes a specific type of machinery and the corresponding parts and sub-components. We have been looking without much luck for a service provider who can assist with assessing the company’s products from a technical perspective and think through competitive positioning (i.e., how the products stack up vs. the market) and potential risks or improvement considerations. Does anyone have recommendations for freelance engineers or engineering/manufacturing due diligence providers who might fit the task? Thanks!

Do you have a list of who their direct competitors are? With that you can do initial analysis by looking at products and services online. Then act as a buyer and get price quotes from the competitors. Do the same with the company that you have an LOI with. It isn't just price and quality of the products. Does the company answer the phone properly, do they follow up, etc.
