From a small town in southern Spain, Priego de Córdoba, I have traveled a path that has taken me through sports competitions, personal tragedy, the academic environment, and finally, into the challenging world of entrepreneurship. Each step on this journey has not only shaped my character but has also constantly redefined my understanding of what it means to succeed.
Losing my mother at a young age was a turning point that taught me about life's fragility and the importance of health and well-being—not just physically, but also emotionally and financially. This deeply tragic event instilled in me a need for control and proactivity that has permeated all aspects of my life, especially my business career.
My foray into the business world was not a casual choice. I grew up in a family where business was discussed at every meal and every family gathering. My parents, entrepreneurs who developed over a thousand real estate units, were not just my inspirers but also my first business mentors.
However, the real challenge began when I decided to run alone. Founding and managing a software company presented me with realities that can't be learned in a family boardroom. Dealing with market uncertainties, managing a diverse team, and facing the loneliness of leadership were aspects that tested me daily.
Every mistake, every success, and every setback has taught me valuable lessons. I've learned that being an entrepreneur is not just about vision or persistence, but about the ability to adapt and evolve. Generosity, adaptability, and performance, values that I hold fundamental, have been my constant guides.
Looking back, I can't help but feel grateful for the tough lessons learned. The ability to look beyond immediate success and focus on long-term growth has been crucial. Beyond any business achievement, what has truly rewarded me is the process of becoming someone capable of facing adversities with an indomitable spirit.
So, to those at Searchfunder charting their own paths in the world of entrepreneurship, I say: embrace every challenge, learn from every mistake, and never lose sight of what truly matters. It's not just about building businesses, but about forging a character that lasts beyond daily operations.
