Hi All, I'm looking at an Elevator Maintenance and Repair business in the tri-state area doing ~$12MN in Rev and $1.5MN.

Seems that the elevator repair industry can be populated with a lot of Union shops. Make sure you understand how the union dues and relationships work. Fully funded pension risks. Also the training and recertification process for the techs will be important for you to understand.

surprised the margins are so low. i wldn't want to take on leverage with margins that low...my maintenance guy came from elevator industry...demand seems pretty volatile and a very small labor pool which can be stressful....he joined me after hours dropped to 4 hours a week but now he's likely going back to the industry as it seems like some projects are coming back in new jersey and i can't afford his insane hourly rate
