Ensemble Music Schools, a PE-backed consolidator in the music education industry, is seeking an M&A intern to support our acquisition process for the next ~6 months. This role will report directly to the CEO/Founder and will have a high level of visibility into the entire M&A process, including sourcing, diligence, negotiation, documentation, and integration.

We believe this opportunity compares favorably to a search fund internship for someone who is interested in EtA, as it will provide a broader look into post-closing integration and operations, as opposed to being mostly focused on sourcing and evaluation. We have acquired 22 locations over the past three years, so live deal experience is virtually guaranteed.

Among the things you'll be working on: • Maintain our database of acquisition targets and manage periodic email outreach to prospective sellers • Participate in phone, Zoom, and in-person meetings with prospective sellers and help to represent Ensemble as a credible acquirer of their small business • Participate in our financial, legal, and operational due diligence efforts, both as an individual contributor and leveraging our outsourced resources • Be an active participant in negotiating and documenting transaction agreements with sellers • Participate our new school onboarding and integration work, both as an individual contributor and leveraging our outsourced resources

Target dates for this internship would be beginning of Q4 2021 through end of Q1[redacted]Target compensation is $25/hr. Interested candidates should submit a resume and brief cover letter describing what you're hoping to get out of the internship (ie why it's a fit for you, not why you're a fit for us!) to [redacted]
