Early-stage UK foodservice logistics, seed round opening early 2027
Not a search deal, but likely of interest to anyone here who backs logistics or food supply chain.
I'm working with the founding team at Bee Local, a neutral delivery network for foodservice. Goods from lots of suppliers come into one hub, get sorted by where they're going rather than who sent them, and go out as one drop. A restaurant currently taking 15 to 20 deliveries a week from eight-plus suppliers gets a fraction of that.
What makes it work is a passive multi-temperature pod, so ambient, chilled and frozen can travel together on an ordinary van. No fridge fleet needed. It's been independently trialled at TRL 7: chilled held under 5°C for 15 hours on the road.
It's asset-light by design. We never buy or hold stock, and we won't be signing long property leases, which is what sank the last wave of UK urban delivery operators.
Not asking for anything now. We expect to open a seed round in earlyredactedIf you'd like to see the deck when it's ready, or have run or invested in cold chain and want to push back on the model, DM me.
