We're evaluating several acquisitions in the durable medical equipment (DME) distribution space and we want to evaluate the risk of disintermediation by Amazon or others. Do you know anyone who might be able to educate me?

Hi Robert - I think I might have some perspective on this. I run a 3PL in Houston for ecommerce brands and have been an Amazon seller since 2011, so we know the landscape pretty well. Happy to chat next week.

There is a moat here in that any medical device distributor must have a cGMP and ISOredactedcompliant quality program for each location where distribution happens. I doubt Amazon wants to go through with that.
