How does the due diligence process differ for deals in the 500k-$1M PP range? I am aware of the high risk when you buy small, but how in-depth should the due diligence process be? Seller is willing to seller finance as well.

Obviously business-specific, but the high points: Employment contracts, assignment/change of control in customer contracts, outstanding litigation/material contingent liabilities, required licenses/transferability, environmental issues (if applicable in line of business). This isn't exhaustive and, based on the type of business, other important areas might be important to do a deeper dive. Shoot me an email redacted or DM. Happy to discuss.

I co-founded a YC-backed startup that automates parts of the QofE and legal processes for your acquisition so you can save weeks of time and thousands of dollars. I think it would make sense for us to chat. You can schedule a time on my calendar here: https://calendly.com/dealwise/dealwise-30-minute-call
