Curious to know people's experience to search investment advisory firms like RIA's.  Or growing ETF or smart beta firms.

We actively lend to smaller firms within the RIA space that are looking to acquire additional books of business. We started this capital channel a few weeks ago and already have multiple deals in the queue so I feel there may a dislocation in this space for financing.

I have looked in this space and done factor analysis for starting a smart beta firm. I was pursued by ML for wealth management but I really wanted a competitive advantage. Areas that are ripe would be adding an online advisory to an established RIA/WM firm, adding investment products. Heavy marketing and team building involved.
