I’m evaluating a few companies in VMS space. I’m passionate about clean ingredients and clean label. I’m particularly interested in companies with product focus, but lacking customer experience focus. Would love to hear perspectives from searchers who looked at this space. Thank you in advance.

The space tends to heavily depend on branding. There is usually no meaningful differentiation in ingredients, so your sales all depend on the brand. Would be especially careful with businesses that are Amazon heavy. Small changes in the algorithm can ruin your business if your listing position drops. If most sales are driven through your own website that ranks well on google, it's a more interesting business, but still always risky given the lack of differentiation of product resulting in risk of new entrants (especially ones pushed by VIPs / influencers).
