Does anyone have experience with venture debt?

I am looking at a startup that has high capex requirements. it is in the consumer product space and has a two year payback I am looking at multiple sources of funding including low cost debt, venture debt. any experience wrt pros and cons will be helpful.

I assume venture debt rates are extremely high right now. They are efficient if the company has good and future revenue, so the cost of equity isn't as expensive.
