My (albeit limited) experience is that unless you are Swiss national, don't bother. I and a partner (British and Austrian) looked at a software business in Switzerland. The first question they asked was 'can we see your passport' (i.e. are you Swiss?). That's very limited data points, and one to investigate further. Shame as I think Switzerland has a fairly high proportion of family businesses that need an exit, and they don't know who to exit to

No you don’t have to be Swiss to buy Swiss companies - I am looking with a partner (we are both Germans) in Germany and Switzerland for businesses but so far we didn’t had any problems. We are searching self-funded, part-time. There is plenty of opportunities but more expensive valuations compared to UK and Germany
